Family Safety Center opens its doors and becomes a fully-fledged, operating nonprofit providing comprehensive, compassionate services to victims of family violence.

2010

Independent Bank co-chairman, Chip Dudley, became chairman of the board, with the continued support of community leaders, partners, and funders.

2008

A board of directors was named, offering support, clarity of purpose and solid plans for future funding of the organization.

2007

Additional private and public funding allow for securing the future home of Family Safety Center and developing operating procedures needed to provide quality services to the Memphis community.

2006

Seed grants and community partner support efforts bring Family Safety Center concept to fruition; Safe Community Program is launched.

2005

Spearheaded planning for a domestic family violence trauma center in Memphis. Defined outreach services desperately needed in Memphis, TN.
